Texas Vision Zero Summit, May 23 & 24

Texas Vision Zero Summit
Monday & Tuesday, May 23 & 24
Midtown Houston

a hybrid event in person at the Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston
and via Zoom webinar

with an optional FHWA Complete Streets workshop
intended for city & county staff on Wednesday

The people of Texas deserve a transportation system where we aren’t risking our lives or limbs when we make our daily decisions to visit friends, get home from work, or go to the library. The Texas Department of Transportation, the biggest county in Texas, almost all of the biggest cities, and one Texas metropolitan planning organization are all committed to ending traffic deaths by 2050 or earlier.

For those who believe meeting these goals is not only possible, but imperative, the Texas Vision Zero Summit is a place to work with peers across the state and allies from other sectors to envision real changes. Calling all city, county, MPO, and state staff who believe part of their work is ending traffic deaths. Calling all advocates, elected officials, nonprofit professionals working to change our deadly transportation system.

Sessions will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, pecha kucha style lightning rounds, and breakouts for participants to join the discussion. We will share best practices and inspiration to get to zero.
