Vigil

The 2018 Texas World Day of Remembrance

for the Victims of Traffic Violence

Sunday, 6pm – South Steps of the Texas Capitol

All are invited. Traditionally the Austin vigil was co-hosted by Vision Zero ATX, Vision Zero Texas, Central Texas Families for Safe Streets, WalkAustin & BikeAustin. Neighborhood groups, nonprofits, legislators, public entities, activists, local electeds, companies, and families and friends of victims of traffic violence are welcome and encouraged to become more engaged in the event. We’re looking for partners as we move the event to statewide policy. We’d love to help you organize a local vigil.

Start a World Day of Remembrance in Your City

Every single city in the State of Texas. We need y’all here.

We’d love to help you organize a local vigil. A World Day of Remembrance has been held in the last three Novembers in Austin. If you can’t make it to Austin for our statewide vigil, you might consider becoming a leader of a World Day of Remembrance in your city. Unfortunately, there are no parts of Texas where it isn’t timely and meaningful to have a vigil to recognize the victims of traffic violence.
